Summary
Mary has worked in Project Management for almost 30 years as practitioner, researcher and trainer. Following a degree in Systems Engineering, she started her career on the Tornado aircraft project and has subsequently have worked on many large programmes. A further dimension was added by participation in research programmes involving collaboration between industry and academics e.g. Alvey, SERC and ESPRIT. One of these projects was to generate a process model for Project Management. This underlined the need for Project Management improvement and influenced her later work.
Having trained in the use of the Project Excellence Model, Mary has acted as an assessor for the IPMA Awards since 2004. She has also jointly delivered Training Workshops for the Awards. She is a Governor of the University of Greenwich and also an active member of Institute of Directors.

Professional Interests
Mary’s main interests are in the principles & theories of programme/project management and development of a closer relationship between Industry and Academe. Working together transnationally and establishment of standards to make this possible. Use of Systems Engineering principles as a foundation for effective project management.


Dr. Martina Huemann
Martina Huemann was born in Vienna Austria in 1969. Her sons Florian and Daniel keep her busy. Extensive travels led her to exotic places and she enjoys travelling and working in an international field.

She studied Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, where she also did her Doctorate in Project Management. Since 1994 she is working there in project management research and education. Since 2007 she is Adjunct Professor at ESC Lille, France.

She has successfully managed research, event and organisational development projects. Since 1999 she is working as trainer and consultant nationally and internationally. She is a network partner of ROLAND GAREIS Consulting.

Martina is board member of project management Austria – the national IPMA association. Martina has been member of the IPMA Award Board for the period 2005-2006. She is an experienced trainer and lead assessor for the pma award and for the IPMA Project Excellence Award.


Dr. Thor Möller
Thor Möller studied Economics and Business Administration at University of Bremen. Afterwards he started as a junior scientist at the Institute for Project Management and Innovation (IPMI) and finished this by up-grating to PhD in Business Administration.

At the following Thor Möller worked as the leader of department Business Administration at the German Association for Civil Construction, an institution with more than 65,000 company members. Then he started as a consultant and international project manager at a middle-sized consulting company. Since 2002 he is a freelance consultant.

As a consultant Thor Möller was leading or working in international projects e.g. in Latvia, Poland, Slovenia, Albania, Namibia, Brazil. Next to his work as consultant he is still working as scientist and lecturer in project management all over the world. Additionally he is a Member of the Board of GPM German Project Management Association since 2004 and responsible for the German Project Excellence Award and project management consultants in Germany. He is also a member of the jury as well as trainer for assessors of the IPMA International Project Excellence Award, member of the IPMA Award Management Board and a jury member of Project Excellence Award in different countries.
Thor Möller is living with his wife and two children in Hamburg, Germany. 


Grzegorz Szalajko, CISA, PMP

Grzegorz has a rich experience as a project manager and auditor in IT, organizational change and compliance projects. His experience includes various challenging assignments in multicultural teams distributed around the world. Since 5 years he acts as an assessor in the Project Management Excellence Award, mainly assessing projects in Asia and Eastern Europe. That includes two years of being a Team Lead Assessor and one year as a Trainer.

He is currently a partner and trainer at the ENERGY Group. Before joining that company he worked in the Application Development Techniques department at Volvo IT where he was globally responsible for the Application Development Process area. Before taking this position he was managing improvement projects focused on maturity of the IT processes. For over 3 years, during the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) implementation at Volvo IT, he held various positions in the global IT Internal Control team.

Before joining Volvo, Grzegorz worked at various software development companies where he has been managing IT projects in the areas of communication and e-commerce for several major customers in Poland (e.g. LOT Polish Airlines, Travelplanet.pl, Opel Poland, Beiersdorf Poland, Heinz Poland, WSB Schools of Banking in Poland).

Grzegorz graduated Computer Science at Wroclaw University of Technology and Sociology at University of Wroclaw. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).


Mr. Erik Mansson
Erik Mȧnsson is a Swedish citizen who has worked as an expat during the last 15 years with a focus on international projects such as the € introduction and the Single Euro Payments Area. He is a member of the IPMA Award Management Board and EU Task Force, as well as member of the German, Swedish and Danish PM associations.

Since 8 years he has been actively involved in the IPMA Project Excellence Award in different capacities such as trainer (Frankfurt,  Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou) and lead assessor including 3 Award Winners (UBS Switzerland, Chinese Space Academy and Sopo, China). In 2009 he participated for the first time to the German PE Award as member of the jury. At the IPMA World Congress in Helsinki he was recognized for his efforts in promoting project excellence internationally by receiving the Otto Zieglmeier’s Award for excellent project management performance 2009.

He has regularly published papers to IPMA World Congressess including:

Since August 2009 he has started his own business MindShift Consulting based in Frankfurt.


Professor Xue Yan
Professor Xue Yan is the Vice President of Project Management Research Committee (PMRC), China and the Director of China Economic Mathematics Research Association. She was the visiting scholar and research fellow of the University of Cambridge, UK.

Currently she works for Asia Development Bank as the contracted project management specialist, and she is also a part-time professor of Peking University to deliver the Advanced Project Management course for Master students, and a honored professor of Postgraduate School, China Academy of Science. She initiated the IPMA award in China and worked as the IPMA award trainer and assessor for several years. She is also the certified IPMA senior project manager, the certification assessor, the certification system validator for IPMA member association, and the board member of CVMB (Certification and Validation Management Board), IPMA.


Ms. Sonja Ellmann
Ms. Dipl.-Oek. Sonja Ellmann (M.A.) studied Economics at the University of Bremen and graduated with a Master’s degree (Global Political Economy and Finance) at the New School University, New York including a scholarship for an advanced seminar at the University of Cambridge, UK.

She is now working for the Institute for Project Management and Innovation (IPMI) at the University of Bremen and finishes her dissertation. She has a postgraduate position with Siemens AG, Transportation Systems, Erlangen, and works as a project management trainer and an Award-assessor of IPMA. She is IPMA Level D certified. Her research focuses on the areas of project management and networking in the international environment.

Sonja Ellmann has experience as conference speaker and author and as a lecturer in the field of project management and technology transfer. She has been an assessor and lead assessor in the International Project Excellence Award and Co-Trainer for several trainings.

Mr. Agoston Nagy (Hungary)
IPMA B certified project manager, trainer and consultant. Has over 17 years experience in managing projects. After graduating university as geologist, he was running various environmental projects in the non-profit sector, later projects in developing ICT networks and services.

For seven years, he worked as an IT project manager in governmental institutions. Recently he has been working as project management trainer and consultant in business.

Since 2002, he is the managing director of the IPMA certification body in Hungary. Mr. Nagy acted as IPMA Project Excellence assessor five times, three times as team lead assessor. He was elected as a member of the IPMA Award Management Board in 2007.

Rajat K. Baisya (India)
Rajat K. Baisya, Professor of Marketing, Strategy, International Business and Project Management and former Head of the Business School  at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.  He has served in very senior capacities for 28 years in Industry  with leading MNCs and large corporations. He has over 200 research articles and three books to his credit. He has served as a member of the assessors team earlier and is a member of Research Management Board of IPMA as well as editor of the RMB Newsletter.

 

 

Ms. Sapna Subramani (India)
Ms Subramani works with Nokia Siemens Networks at Bangalore, India’s Silicon Valley, as a Program Quality Manager at the system level. She has worked in ABB earlier, with a total experience in the software industry of more than 13 years, She has donned various roles starting from developer to Project Manager for large multi-site programs [280 person-years, 5 locations]. On the Quality certification aspects, she has been involved in CMMi and ISO related assessments at the organization and program perspectives.

Sapna has presented several papers at international conferences and is an experienced speaker. She coaches teams within NSN when they are looking to transition to Agile mode of working. She is a practiced trainer and has been the lead assessor for the IPMA Project Excellence Award assessment.

Sapna graduated in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IGNOU University. In the final phase of her Master in Business Administration, she aspires to consult in Program and Portfolio Management.  She is also a Qualified Project Management Professional and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Graham Woodward BSc RAeS FAPM CPM
Graham is an aeronautical graduate, Chartered Engineer and a Certificated Project Manager of 39 years, experienced in consultancy and management training, Graham has had management responsibilities in production, design, support and commercial disciplines. This includes management of domestic
and international multi-site projects embracing innovative and successful project management control of tasks up to £200M per annum with extensive customer interface. Graham’s main experience is in large aviation, naval, logistics and construction projects ranging from complete combat airframes to nuclear submarines. He is qualified to IPMA level B standard.

He has been running his own consultancy for six years while holding various portfolios for the UK Association of Project Management. Having been Deputy Chairman for two years he continues to head up the judges for the APM National Awards, which attracts the largest entry in the Project Management sector anywhere in the world.

Graham has also been an assessor for the IPMA for the last five years and is the UK representative at the IPMA Council of Delegates.

Dr. Ding Ronggui
Ronggui is a member of China Project management Research Committee (PMRC). During the last several years, he has been an IPMA Award Assessor/ Lead assessor and assessed projects in Germany, Romania and Italy respectively. Since beginning of 2007, he is a member of the IPMA Award Management Board.

Ronggui is a professor of Shandong University, and a visiting professor of Politecnico di Milano, Heriot-Watt University and Macao University of Science and Technology. He has been teaching project management for universities, companies and government departments for more than 10 years. He is an experienced and popular project management teacher, researcher and consultant in China.

As an active project manager, he has completed successfully several important projects from different industrial and research fields, and his books are also well accepted by managers. Because of his outstanding outputs, he was honored as an excellent talent by China Ministry of Education in 2007.
